ROWDY FARM SHARE

  • A Farm Share is a prepaid alternative to a CSA share (Community Supported Agriculture), which allows for more pick-up flexibility and product selectivity than traditional CSA structures. April through September you can source seasonal produce, as well as floral arrangements, botanically dyed goods, and farm merch, at any of our sales outlets using the funds you invested at start of season. You simply write down on a share form, which will always be present at the farm store, farm stand, and market, what your take-home was that day, and we'll tally the deduction for you. You’ll receive end of month updates on where your share total stands throughout the season. If you don’t use the entirety of your share by end of season you can either transfer funds forward to the next season or receive a remainder refund. Share window is between $500 and $1200. Rowdy Farm Share members also receive 15% off workshops.

  • Eat with the seasons, reduce your carbon footprint!, enjoy unmatched freshness and nutrient density! All this, and you fill our farm’s reserve tank at the most input heavy time of year. We view Farm Share programs as one of the most effective ways to stand in solidarity with small-scale farmers. What’s more, for every investment made in our pre-pay farm share program, we will donate a percentage of produce to Whidbey Island Nourishes, a non-profit organization which delivers food directly to over 200 local children experiencing food insecurity.

ISLAND ALLIANCE storage CSA

  • Like most farmers, we endeavor to fill gaps in the local food market which in being filled, enable more people to eat locally year round. In our first season we offered two standard 6 month CSA options, which spanned the height of the growing season. While we enjoyed this endeavor enormously, we fielded a lot of feedback expressing a desire for something similar which could cover the non-growing season. Taking this reflection into account, we are reimagining our beloved Island Alliance CSA, which will continue to bring together goods from our farm and numerous other local/regional producers — full collaborator list and pricing coming soon! Every other week September - October we will provide a CSA bin filled with vegetables, frozen/dried fruits, bread, cheese, and 2-3 protein sources. The goal is to have filled your pantry and freezer by the end of the 2 months, and prolonged your local eating well into winter, when our fields are taking a much deserved rest.
